FIRSTLY - On Saturday 3/10/09 a day at the Gold Coast Races!

                 

*The Gold Coast Turf Club is Australia's busiest racecourse with racing every Saturday, and mid-week racing throughout the year.

Conveniently situated just 2kms from Surfers Paradise with unforgettable dining and unrivalled skyline views.


But not just any day - this year we are going to the Dome which is even closer to the saddling enclosure than where
we were last year



with views of the finishing post and access to all the full members facilities including bookmakers.

We have reserved 5 tables of 10 but at this stage can cater for more if needed.

You do not have to be a bettor or even remotely interested in racing to enjoy this day, just the venue, good friends, good food, a drink or two, and the excitement of watching the races and others winning or losing their money make for an unforgettable day!


If you have booked for Saturday & Sunday, when you arrive you will be given $20 in cash to try your luck and the days race - book (so dont buy one at the entrance) which will have a printed insert of Race Profit's tips for the day.

Unlike other races courses in Australia and NZ the Gold Coast dress regulations for members are very relaxed, no ties or coats needed for men who can even wear stylish casuals without socks.

  FUNCTION ROOMS

DRESS STANDARDS

Persons considered to be unsuitably attired may be requested to vacate the area in accordance with the rules and By-Laws of the Club. However particular areas have designated dress standards.

THE DOME
Males:
NO T-Shirts allowed
NO Singlets or Tracksuits allowed
NO Thongs or Sandals
Collared Dress Shirt only
Tailored dress shorts with belt
Socks must be worn with Dress Shorts
Socks with Trousers are not compulsory
Covered Footwear MUST be worn (thongs are not permitted)

Females:
Blouse and Slacks, Slack Suit or Dress
Footwear DOES NOT include Thongs

OTHER

All function venues are non-smoking and have wheelchair access.

BEVERAGE FACILITIES
Beverage facilities in function venues are generally available from 11.30 a.m. and will cease approximately fifteen (15) to thirty (30) minutes after the last local race.

FUNCTION GUEST ENTRANCE
All functions guests should proceed to the main turnstiles. Upon presentation of the function venue ticket, gate staff will tear off the bottom portion of the ticket and admit guests through the turnstiles. Function venue signage is located on the grandstand with a map of the club located on the left hand side as guests pass through the turnstiles.

**Wear the venue ticket and keep it as it will double as your ticket for the spit roast lunch on Sunday (see details below)

(This picnic day replaces the August picnic day that Melva & Joyce nee Morgan, used to organise & their gang will be there too!)

Catering quote for Fiji Picnic in the Park - Sunday 4th October

 

Thank you for the opportunity to cater for our Fiji function and would like to confirm details discussed. We have been operating for the last twenty five years and work every function personally to ensure our service standards are the highest and food quality is guaranteed.We always ensure there is plenty of food for the big appetites and leave remaining food for you.

 

The Menu is a buffet selection of the following:

¤Three succulent spit roasted meats – beef, pork with crackling and ham

¤Hot vegetables – steamed potatoes,roast pumpkin & onions

¤ Sauces – red wine onions gravy and apple sauce

¤French stick and butter

¤Sweets – fresh fruit platter, apple crumble with custard and cream

 

Equipment

¤We provide buffet tables, cloths, bowls & servers and wrapped cutlery with disposable plastic plates.

 

Procedure

We cater on site arriving about 5 hours prior to guests eating to ensure freshness.

 

We look forward to seeing you and the gang on the big day.
