KVF CoOP presents "Konfrontasi" - Reminiscences of a "Rocky"
*The word "confrontation" was coined by the Indonesian Foreign Minister in 1963 when he used it to describe his government's undeclared war against the establishment of the Federation of Malaysia.
"Rocky " is the term used by Regular Navy Personnel to describe Naval Reservists. Jim has made this highly readable book even more readable by convincing his publisher to place the 195 maps and photographs adjacent to the relative text, and the result is even those who know nothing of Navy matters can find it very easy to "navigate!"

Not since Michener and Maugham have the fresh settings of the Pacific Islands been applied so evocatively as within the pages of "Silktail"
In evocative island settings, a cast of international characters mix an intriguing cocktail of murders, tropical passion and Fiji humour.
The year is 1990 and a nuclear bomb’s been spirited from Moruroa, France’s military atoll, and smuggled to the Fiji Islands.
Islamic extremists are trans-shipping the bomb through the islands to a mystery consignee.
French Special Forces and the Fiji military try to track down the bomb and its shadowy hi-jackers.

Fiji Gold Bullion Coins - One set only!
Offers email sales@cybermarket.com.au
All offers will be submitted to owners who are a well known family in Fiji, and will be replied to.
As far as we can ascertain there were only 500 sets minted by the Pacfic Sovereign Mint at the minehead, using raw gold from the smelter just as it comes. There is we believe only one set at the Reserve Bank in Fiji used for display purposes only.
Fijian Gold varies in purity bewtween 75% and 84% with the remaining metal being almost entirely silver, so coins are guaranteed to be a minimum of 18carats (75%) although the gold content maybe significantly higher.
And remember once this little Island's Gold is exhausted, thats it....there are no other known deposits in Fiji.

An historical novel with a fascinating history of its own!
This was to have been the first of a series featuring a fictional family (the Cotterels). The author planned to follow the family’s fortunes through the events of Fiji’s history from before cession to Britain (October 1874) to the present. Thus the setting and historical context are authentic (other than Vatulevu) and Fiji-watchers will recognise many of the tensions alluded to as having influenced political events through the past 140 years. ‘Those of us living in Fiji early in 1942 were fully alert to likely invasion by enemy forces. Lowry has shown in this book how real that threat was. … By providing us with the facts, Lowry deserves our thanks. He has done a fine job.’

Robert Lowry retired after 30 years in the Australian Army as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1993. During his army service he was posted to South Vietnam 1968-69, Singapore 1969-71, and Indonesia 1983-86.
